Electricity Meter Model Identification and Application Guide

I. Core Parameter Analysis

1. Electrical Parameters: Voltage Specifications: Single-phase meters are 220V; three-phase meters are 3×220/380V (four-wire) or 3×380V (three-wire).

2. Current Specifications: The marking format is "Rated Current (Rated Maximum Current)." For example, 5(60A) indicates a rated current of 5A, with a long-term maximum allowable current of 60A.

3. Pulse Constant: For example, 1600 imp/kWh means the pulse light flashes 1600 times for every kilowatt-hour consumed.

1600imp/kWh: For every 1 kWh consumed by the user, the meter pulse light flashes 1600 times


3. Calculation of Actual Power Consumption (Three-phase meter connected via transformer)

Calculation formula: Actual power consumption = Meter reading difference × PT ratio × CT ratio

Note: When the number of CT turns changes, the ratio needs to be adjusted synchronously (e.g. PT ratio 100, CT ratio 40, reading difference 2.5kWh, actual power consumption = 2.5 × 100 × 40 = 10,000 kWh)


4. Pulse Light and Power Check

Pulse light power consumption: This is the meter's operating current and is borne by the power company. It is not included in the user's electricity bill.

Power Check: Use the up and down buttons on the smart meter's display to view total power consumption, monthly peak/average/valley values, and other data.


5. Wiring and Calibration Requirements

Before wiring, ensure that the voltage level matches the meter nameplate. Ensure the correct polarity when wiring the transformer to avoid measurement errors.

For high-precision scenarios, regular calibration of the meter and transformer is recommended.
