What is the difference between 0.2 class and 0.2S class current transformers?
Current transformers are similar to transformers. Transformers are connected to lines and are mainly used to change the voltage of the line, while current transformers are connected to lines and are mainly used to change the current in the line. Therefore, current transformers were formerly also called converters.

Standard Accuracy Classes of Measuring Current Transformers
General: 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 3, 5
Special: 0.2s, 0.5s
0.2 and 0.2S current transformers are current transformers with the same accuracy. 0.2S class metering current transformers are 0.2 class transformers manufactured to meet special application requirements. Compared with ordinary 0.2 class transformers, they have a wider guaranteed measurement range. A 0.2S-class current transformer can accurately measure current within a range of 1% to 120% of Ib.

Current transformers with the S-class rating achieve an accuracy of 0.2% under light load (<10%). Current transformers without the S-class rating only meet the 0.2% accuracy requirement under a load of 30%. Therefore, when selecting the current transformer ratio, current transformers with the S-class rating should have a constant load current greater than 10% of their rated current, and current transformers without the S-class rating should have a constant load current greater than 30% of their rated current.
